changing what you have into what you want

I've had these brown tea light candle holders for quite a while. I don't even remember how I got them. They must have been a gift from someone, I can't remember who. The reason I'm sure thay were a gift is that I've never bought anything brown for my home, ever. It's just not my colour.
Now, I finnay decided to alter them into something I might actually like to have on display in my home.Wll, spray paint to the rescue. i sprayed them glossy white, and now I love them!

I decided I needed a plait of some sort to make the arrangement I had in mind. I found this Santa Clause tray in the back of my tray cupbord.
I don't like it, I never use it. It just sits in the back of my kitchen cupboard, simply because I'm not good at throwing things away. You nenver know when you mignt need them, do you? I'm sure glad I kept this one now. Once again I spray painted, but in silver.

And when I put the tray and the candle holder together I got this:

Can you believe they're actually the same items? This arrangement is what I have om my kithen table at the moment, and I just look at it everytime I'm in the kitchen. The pink and white flowers are from my garden, I don' know what the plants are called, but they are really generous with their flowers.

So, if you have something that you can change, go for it. If you don't use it as it is, it really doesn't matter if it doesn't work out perfectly does it? But chances are you'll end up with something you like, instead of something stuffed in the back of one of your cupboards.

 Take care!
Luv /Hanna xx

HI Hanna, I like how they turned out... but is there any off gassing when the candles are lit from the spray paint?
