a long overdue post

  Hello! This post is long overdue, I know. I showed you a litle peek of sorts of my sale finding. I got to the spraypaint pretty much immediately, and was going to post the end resukt as soon as it had dried. But you know how it is, time flies and other stuff gets in the way. Anyway, here it finally is.

My mystery package:

 And this is it without all the wrapping. A stunning key hanger. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, and basically had to have it, eventhough I don't hang my keys, I always keep them in my purse. But maybe I'll hang my spare keys on it.

 

 So I really really love the shape and design, but I didn't love the colour. Spray paint to the rescue!

Since it was a beautiful day I did my spraying outside.

After both primer and a glossy white had been generously sprayed, this is what I ended up with. I just LOVE it even more now. The crisp glossy white is really gorgeous.

 From a bit of an angle. Now I just have to figure out where to hang it. lol. Do you ever do that, buy stuff just because you fall in love with them without knowing where to actually put it in your home?

So eventhough it took me quite a while to get this blogged, it doesn't mean I've been lying on my couch all this time. My son and I had a reaaly lovely trip to ikea this Tuesday. I quite draded going to ikea alone with my son, but as a single mom, that's what I did. And he was an angle the whole time, can you belive it. Well, as anglel like as you can expect from a three year old boy at ikea anyway.

This is one of the things I've spent time on doing since ikea. Something that I bought at ikea. Really it is, no photoshopping here. More than an tiny bit of cropping. Any good guesses as to what it might be?

I promise it won't take me as long to show you what it really is this time!
