kitchen problem solved - the answer to my sneak peek

Hi! It's Sunday and the weekend is coming to an end. Hope you'va had a nice, relaxing one!

I've had a problem in my kitchen ever since I moved into this house. One of the kitchen windows faces the frons steps of the house, meaning anyone standing on the top of the steps has a clear view of my entire kitchen (and the dirty dishes on my kitchen counter), the hallway and if the bedroom door is open they can see in there as well. My solution so fas has been to have the blinds down, all the time. This has left my kitchen somewhat dark. It's a fairly big kitchen and one window didn't really give enough light.

Well I finally decided to tackle this problem, and ikea's AMORF FROST to the rescue. I can't believe how light my kitchen is now. I love it!

Well ,the pictures kind of show the reverse, but I swear it's much lighter now, and so much prettier. An easy fix, only costing me 78 SEK.

When doing this the other day, I measured and cut as exactly as possible. Well guess what; the plastic film expands a little bit when adhering it to the window, so it ended up being a bit to big. If you're planning on using this product I recommend cutting it a bit shorter than you actually need.

With this problem being solved a new, more serioous kithen problem arose the day before yesterday. My refrigerator broke. I didn't notice until it was basically the same temperature in there as in the rest of the house. I had to empty it, borrow another one temporarily, and am now waiting to have a new one delivered, sigh. It'll be great though. I'm really looking forward to having a brand new fridge.

Take care everyone!
Luv /Hanna
