Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great weekend, and that you have something fun planned. I'm really looking forwars to my son coming home from his dad's. He's been there since Monday. He usually only spends every other weekend there, but since his dad had this week of from work he wanted to have him over for a bit longer. I can totally understand that, but I miss my "baby" so much. My son's not used to being away from me for this long either, so even though he is having a load of fun he's been a little sad when we've spoken. But we've made video calls every evening. He's told me about his day and any plans for the day after, it's really great.
Ok, over to this fortnight's Basic Grey challenge. The theme we have this time round is a sketch designed by Heather.Sponsoring is, as always, Simon says stamp. The prize is a credit voucher of $25.
I've used Basic grey papers from the Perhaps and Porcelain collections for this card. It's a bit smaller than the usual 15x15 cm, this is only 10x10. I wanted to make a card with this sentiment as the focal point, and it just looked too small on a standars sized card. The sentiment is from Penny black, by the way, and the flowers are WOC. Oh, and diamond stickles too :) * sparkle, sparkle *
Let me share a secret with you now. I don't really like sketch chalenges. I don't mean to be rude, but there seem to be a contest going on that I would call the "who can make the most complicated sketch-contest" alternatively "who can add the most elements to a sketch-contest". I like sketches that are nice and SIMPLE. I do like this sketch by Heather, beacause it's SIMPLE, not too many elements, or any starangely shaped elements. So why don't you give it a go as well! Just remember to use at least one Basic Grey item.
I told you I found something on sale when I was in town the other day. Here it is!
Ok, it's wrapped in paper, so you can't see wat it is, obviously. But I'll show you, when I'm done spray painting it, he he
Wishing you all a really great day!
/Hanna xx
