Card storage box + template

So sorry I havn't been updating this week. I had friends over for tapas last night , yummmmm! So this week has been busy planning the meel, shopping for ingredients and my house was in desperate need of a good cleaning.

I've made another one of my card storage boxes. I make quite a lot of cards just because it's fun to make them so need somewhere to store them till I either sell or give them away. I've used this gorgeous Cloud 9 paper. For decoration I've cut some flowers from the DP and glued them on white cardstock, cut them out again and mounted on 3D squares. You can another box in black and silver here. The look is not very original, but I,ve made this perticular template myself. Feel free to use it. Note: NOT to scale. You can't print these pictures as digi templates, you need to measure and draw yourself. (I'm very computer challenged so wouldn't know where to start in making a real printable template) All measurements are in cm.

The decorative panels...

Here's my pieces with the panels glued on.

The reason I put the side panels on the front piece is that I want the back piece to go inside the front piece so the edge faces backwards.

For a nice finish I also glue the plaps on the front piece on the inside so the bottom is whole....

...and on the back piece I glue the flaps on the outside so the bottom is whole inside the box as well.
